Synopsis:

The handsome Angel from Lailah gets center stage in this continuation of Wattpad sensation Nikki Kelly’s romantic and action-packed series about mortals, vampires, and angels.

Gabriel is an Angel Descendant. He's also an ally to a generation of vampires who want to break away from the demon who controls them. His faith in the power of good over evil wavers, however, when he discovers that Lailah, the woman he considers his only true love, may be both angel and demon. Is their love enough to overcome the dark forces who are ready to go to war with Gabriel, the vampire Jonah, and the angel and vampire forces? And can Gabriel compete with Jonah, who is also in love with Lailah?

Once again, Nikki Kelly looks deeply into the heart and soul of good and evil to create a romantic, action-packed reading adventure.

https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1389917714p5/7219195.jpgI was born and raised only minutes away from the chocolately scent of Cadbury World in Birmingham, England. So it will probably come as no surprise that when I'm not dreaming in Vampires & Angels, I dream in chocolate! For the past ten years I have lived in West London with my hubby and two dogs, Alfie - the Pug & Goose - the Chihuahua.
LAILAH is my debut novel, and first launched in serial form to wattpad, a readers & writers community. Within just 6months, LAILAH had over a million reads and thousands of comments and votes.
Since then, The Styclar Saga has gone on to pick up a traditional deal with Feiwel & Friends, and LAILAH, the first book in the series is due for release on October 7th 2014.
These days I spend my time balancing my amazing job of writing fantasy fiction, with my other, very important role of Chocolate Connoisseur. I like to multitask and do the two together. It makes me happy.

‘At Water’s Edge’, tells the tale of two lovers trapped in two different worlds. One world is Earth, and the other is Coldivor; a dimension full of magic and danger. When Dezaray Storm is mistaken for the most powerful sorceress of this other realm her life changes forever. She finds love in the arms of Milo Thor, but this love can also lead to her death and the destruction of seven empires.

‘At Water’s Edge’ is book one in the ‘Water Rushes’ series.

Praise for Chapters One-Three of 'At Water's Edge' by S. McPherson:

"Loved the teaser! It pulled me in and made me want to read more. Your writing style is clean, uncluttered and brimming with tension. Well done!" "You got a lovely and interesting story,  hope to read more from you." "I liked it a lot! While I was reading it, I was able to be drawn into the story easily by your words. A stormy night like you were describing sets the perfect scene for a suspenseful fantasy novel." "I really enjoyed reading your first chapter. It was gripping. The descriptions are well written."

S. McPersonAbout S. McPherson:

S. McPherson is a young British expat living in Dubai and working as a Foundation Stage 1 (FS1) teacher. When she was younger S. McPherson travelled a lot with her family, though, no matter how often her surroundings changed, one thing never did. And this was her love of writing and dreaming up the impossible. After combining her two loves of teaching children and writing, S. McPherson self-published her first book; a rhyming verse children’s story titled ‘Shania Streep wanted to Sleep’. Thus fuelling her love of seeing her work in print and sharing her stories. This is S. McPherson's first novel.

Review:

This story is fabulous.  I loved the character interaction, it was realistic and fantasy like.  That is a tough combination to achieve.

Book Review of Water Works

Blurb:

Three years have passed, and Emma has settled comfortably into her new life. The basement brownies, the troll-green siren Leucosia, and the prehistoric bird George have faded into stories she told her best friend Reggie when they were little. Her battle with the evil witch was nothing more than the product of her overactive childhood imagination. Until it starts to rain.

Before she knows it, Emma is back in Under, this time with a sick Reggie in tow. With the help of new friends (and several old ones), she travels to the mysterious Yesno jungle and a barren island beneath the setting sun, where the choices she makes threaten to destroy everything she loves. She must overcome terrifying challenges both on the sea and below it, all in an effort to save her best friend.

With water, water everywhere, what is a girl to think?

Author Information:

Tanya Karen Gough owned and published The Poor Yorick Shakespeare Catalogue from 1997-2007, earning a strong international customer base of world class academics and high school educators. Tanya was also a contributing editor for the Internet Shakespeare Editions at the University of Victoria (BC), audio advisor for the Sourcebooks Shakespeare textbook series, and theatre reviewer for Playshakespeare.com. Tanya grew up in New Hampshire and currently lives in Toronto, Ontario.

Root Bound is the first of four books in the Emma and the Elementals series.

Review:

This series is adorable and perfect for girls who love adventure and want to have one.  In this story Emma is the hero, even when she doesn’t know it.  She learns about herself and the true value of friendship when her friend is in trouble.

I give this story 4 out of 5 clouds.
